ITT FLANGE MOUNT TIE ROD CYLINDERS

One method of mounting ITT tie rod cylinders is with the use of an ITT flange mount. The optimal use of an ITT flange mount is in a thrust stlye application. ITT flange mounts are used in tension style applications accordingly . This type of flange mount has little tolerance for misalignment, although when a lengthy stroke is required for the application, the free end that is opposite of the mounting end should be supported accordingly. If an application should exceed the flange rating, requiring a heavier type of flange mounting, a solid ITT flange mount should be used.  If you need a custom flange, ITT can custom design any type of flange to meet your applications need.

ITT TRUNNION MOUNT TIE ROD CYLINDERS

All ITT trunnion cylinders need a provision on both ends for pivoting properly. These types of ITT tie rod cylinder mounts are designed to carry shear loads and the trunnion pivot pins should be carried by bearings that are rigidly secured and tightly fitted  for the entire length of the pin assembly.
